Arika Himmelspach

Nursery Director

Arika has been a member of Resurrection since 2008. She was previously on staff as a Nursery Attendant in 2008 and then took over as Nursery Director from 2010-2012. She returned to Resurrection in 2019 when she moved back to Minnesota from living in the Florida Keys for five years. Arika’s background is in Medical Administration, childcare and development, and customer service. She is currently an Extended Learning Student at Bemidji State University working towards her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work with a minor in Addictions. Arika enjoys working on her Faith Triangle at Resurrection by participating in the Mom’s Journey Group, working in the nursery taking care of and teaching our youngest members, volunteering at the Food SHARE program, and enjoying worship on Sunday mornings. Arika is also a 200 Hr yoga teacher, and will begin a 300 Hr yoga teacher training this fall, to complement her education, and graduate in the spring of 2023. Arika plans to work in the mental health field and current co-facilitates a mental health support group twice a month with Hope in a Hopeless World. Arika resides in Elk River with her toddler, EllieMay. Arika enjoys being outside in nature, swimming or being at the beach, yoga and meditation, music of all kinds, and traveling.
