Vacation Bible School 2019

DETAILS
Join us each night from Sunday, August 4th until Thursday, August 8th for a WILD and FAITH FILLED time at ROAR VBS 2019. Each night begins with an optional family dinner from 5:30 pm to 6:10 pm in the Gathering Place. VBS fun starts at 6:15 pm sharp and lasts until 8:30 pm. Each night of VBS is jam packed with lively worship, exciting Bible stories, crafts, sill games, and snacks. ROAR is held onsite at Resurrection (9300 Jason Ave NE, Monticello). All kids, even if you aren’t a member here, age 3 (potty trained) through 5th grade are encouraged to attend.

Early Bird registration is $20 per child and runs May 5th through June 30th. Starting July 1st, the cost will be $25 per child. Families with more than three kids are only required to pay for the first three. Each registration includes a t-shirt.

The ROAR Sing & Play CD is $6.00 and a great way to get your kids ready for VBS. Add it to your registration and then pick it up at Resurrection during church hours.

VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME – TEEN CREW LEADERS

Volunteer Description
Teen Crew Leaders are a critical part of our VBS program. The kids always love you! Your job at VBS is to greet kids cheerfully each night, help them find their spot in the group, get them their name tag, and then lead or shepherd them through the evening activities. Each night your final task is to get each child back to their parent after closing worship. Although your job is to help keep the kids safe and get them through rotations, there is still lots of room to play, laugh, and have fun. If it seems a bit overwhelming, don’t worry. Adult Crew Leaders are there to help with discipline and bathroom breaks.

Volunteer Requirements
1. Must have completed 6th, 7th, or 8th grade.
2. Adult volunteers are asked to attend a VBS Volunteer Training Session on Thursday, August 1st from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm to prepare.
3. Teen Crew Leaders are expected to attend all days of VBS.
4. Teen Crew Leaders should plan to arrive by 5:15 pm for prayer and updates each night.
5. Cellphones are not to be used by Teen Crew Leaders during VBS.
6. Teen Crew Leaders will receive a VBS inspired t-shirt to be worn while volunteering at VBS. In addition, all volunteers must wear a Resurrection name tag while volunteering.
