Have you recently been left with an empty nest or have been an empty nester for awhile? Are you and your spouse having a hard time figuring out what’s next? We invite you to join the Empty Nesters Life Group! This is a fun active group of people that are seeking fellowship, new interests, and spiritual awareness.

The Empty Nesters Life Group meets the first Friday and third Friday of each month from 7 PM to 9 PM. It is meant for couples and individuals that have been recently left with an empty nest.

All questions and concerns can be directed to Julie Churness at Jchurness@sherbtel.net or 763-263-1557.

What to expect:

The Empty Nesters Life Group meets twice a month for two hours each time. The group will discuss God and where He is fitting in your life. There will be fun, fellowship, and a chance to learn more about yourself, spouse, and friends. The first meeting of the month will be held at Resurrection. The second meeting of the month will be held offsite at an activity. There may be some activity expenses.

What will this group achieve?

This group will help you build new friendships, create new interests with your spouse, and bring Christ back into the center focus of your life.

Meeting Outline

The first meeting of the month will be held at Resurrection. This meeting will start with refreshments and information regarding the next meeting’s activity. A topic of conversation will be introduced. This conversation will end with a Scripture reading and prayer. There will then be an activity (mixer, game, craft, dinner social, etc.) The second meeting of the month will be a fun activity away from church. The goal is to simply have fun, build friendships, and discover new interests.
