High School Ministry

After being confirmed in their faith, many young adults say “good bye” to the church.  However, there is life after confirmation and at Resurrection our goal is to keep these young adults connected to the body of Christ and to help them now redefine their faith as a confirmed member of the community.  It is a time to develop deep meaningful friendships, grow closer to Christ, build real leadership skills, step out and try new things, and realize you can have a real impact in this world – now, not when you ‘grow up’. We do this intentionally through these classes:

Cross Training (9th grade)

Our Cross Training ministry is the 6th – 9th grade Confirmation ministry program. Our goal is to help students grow towards maturity in their Christian faith and commitment by inviting them to participate in a small group community where they can connect with other Christians their age, grow in their understanding of what it means to be a Christian through Bible study and application to everyday life, serve and worship together. Cross Training is fun; it’s exciting and can help students take significant steps towards a victorious, spirit filled life.

Students who hope to confirm their faith in the Fall of their 10th grade year must actively participate in Cross Training. Our Cross Training ministry is a four-year program. Students begin in the Fall of their 6th grade year and complete the program by confirming their faith in the Fall of their 10th grade year.

Cross Training meets Wednesday nights from 6:30 – 8:00 pm during the school year.

Life together… Life after Confirmation (10th-12th grade)

Our Life Together Ministry is for 10th-12th grade students who want to be a part of a community where faith and life connect. At Life Together students are challenged to live the type of life Christ calls all of us to live. At Life Together we hope to provide an environment where Lively Discipleship can happen, lasting friendships can be nurtured and positive life long memories can be made.

Life Together meets every other Wednesday night beginning January 18th.  They will meet every Wednesday night during Lent.
