Sheila Allen

I have been married to Pat Allen for over 20 years and we have a daughter Michaela (Mayla) –who is a freshman at the Monticello High School.  We have been members at Resurrection Lutheran for over 5 years, prior to that we were members at Zion Lutheran in Buffalo, MN.

Areas I have served in while at Resurrection Lutheran are as follows:  1) Assisting with the New Member Class-about 3 years, 2) Volunteering for various activities with the Cross Training program and youth programs, 3) Presented a faith statement to the congregation on forgiveness during Lent last year, and 4) Serving in various positions at worship services.

My “life” Bible verse is John 14:27- “Peace I leave with you; my Peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.  Let not your hearts be troubled neither let them be afraid.”

I believe that God has called me to this responsibility because I am ready and able to serve Him the way that He wants me to for His Glory and Purpose.  He has opened the door for my opportunity to serve Him further.  I always pray ‘that He opens doors that need to be opened and close doors that need to be closed’- He has opened the door.
