Are you new to Resurrection?

New faces are always welcome at Resurrection…so please come and worship with us! We know that walking into a church for the first time can be very intimidating. Here are some Resurrection pointers:

Ways to get connected:

Here are a few things to help you out before you visit us:
1. Check out our website and social media – these sources include a ton of information that can help give you a feel of what Resurrection has going on and what our mission is
2. Plan a visit – gather a friend or family member and come visit us on Sunday! We worship at 9:00 am & 10:30 am. Our summer worship experiences are in a Contemporary style.
3. Visit our Connect Corner on your first visit – here you can ask a friendly staff member your questions and receive a welcome gift

What to expect when you visit us:

1. A warm welcome
2. Name Tags – when you first walk in, you will see a row of binders with letters on them. At Resurrection, we wear name tags so that we may address one another by first name. At the ends of these tables, there is a blank sheet of name tags for visitors – please fill one out! If you think you will be visiting again, please write your name on the “Need A Name Tag?” sheet so that we can print you fresh name tags before your next visit
3. Nursery Care – we provide free nursery care to parents with little ones. For more information regarding our nursery, please click here
4. Freedom to worship – at Resurrection, you can worship with your hands in the air or your hands to the side. You can nod your head and holler Amen – whatever works for you!
5. An open Communion table – anyone and everyone is welcome to the Lord’s Table

Frequently Asked Questions:

What is the difference between Traditional and Contemporary Worship?

Our Traditional Worship contains Hymns, Kyrie, the Apostle’s Creed, and Communion. It is the original style of church and offers a more structured service. Our Contemporary Worship includes a Worship Team equipped with guitars and drums. Though our worship teams may thrown in a twist on an old hymn, the music is primarily Contemporary Christian music from the last 15 years. Contemporary Worship offers Communion on the third Sunday of the month.

Do I have to be a member to…?

All our visitors, regular attendees, and active members can participate in anything Resurrection has to offer. This includes, but is not limited to:
a. Classes
b. Confirmation/Sunday School
c. Retreats
d. Other events
e. Baptisms
f. Weddings
g. Funerals

I’d like to attend classes/retreats, but I am low on income. Is there a way for me to still attend?

At Resurrection, we want to equip you with all that you need to help you grow spiritually. For those low on money, we offer a Scholarship Plan that will either cover or reduce the cost of classes/retreats. Please contact the office if interested or with any questions.

What should I wear?

We want our people to be comfortable as they worship and sit in conversation among others. If this means wearing jeans and a sweatshirt or wearing a suit and tie, we say go for it!

Did you visit us? We’d love to hear feedback from you about how your first visit with us went. Our Visitor Feedback Surveys help us improve our first impression game.
