At Resurrection, we believe Holy Baptism is more than water.  It is God coming to us, forgiving our sin, delivering us from death and the devil, and giving us eternal salvation as believers of His promises.

It is not the water that does these things, but God’s Word with the water and our trust in His Word.  Through Baptism, we are reborn as children of God. Baptism marks the beginning of a new spiritual journey in which the Holy Spirit equips us to love, forgive, and serve creatively in all aspects of our lives.

People of any age can be baptized, but only need to receive this sacrament once in their lifetime.   Baptism is a joyous and sacred celebration that is meant to be shared with family, friends, sponsors, and the whole church community.

Once you have decided you, or your child, would like to be baptized the next step would be to attend a Baptism class.  The Baptism class at Resurrection is where we take time to go over what we believe as Lutherans, the importance of baptism and the role that baptism plays in the life of a believer.  Baptism classes are held on the 2nd Sunday of the month at 11:00 a.m. (10:30 a.m. in the summer).  Nursery is available. Please call the church office at 763-295-5511 to sign up.

At the Baptism class you will receive a Baptism form which needs to be completed and turned into the church office before the baptism date can be set.  Once that form is returned to the office, please call the church office to set the date of your baptism.  Baptisms are held during the 11:00 a.m. service only.
